Sam Leadsom, Founder & CEO

Sam Leadsom has spent 35 years in sports media, working across three areas the industry usually keeps separate: editorial content, broadcast operations, and commercial technology.

That breadth is the point. People fluent in rights and broadcast economics rarely understand AI tooling, and those fluent in AI rarely understand a rights deal. Sam sits across both, and it shapes how he works: find the real problem first, then fix it.

His career began in the control room and moved to the boardroom. As Head of Premier League Productions at IMG, he grew the department from a standing start into the 24/7 global content engine that underpinned a £5 billion rights market, managing substantial budgets and the output for the world's most-watched football league.

As Vice President of Production for Fox Sports Asia, based in Singapore, he led a team of more than 100 people, directed a $100m regional portfolio, and reset the editorial strategy to grow multi-platform audience share across diverse Asian markets.
He has also helped launch new rights properties. As a core member of the original executive team at SailGP, he built the broadcast and distribution strategy for the league from scratch, pioneering sustainable remote-production workflows that set new industry benchmarks and were later recognised with an SVG Innovation Award.

Moving to the technology side, Sam served as VP of Global Business Development at Pixotope and as Commercial Director for Global Sports at Vizrt, driving 20-30% revenue growth and guiding technology vendors through the realities of the sports market.

In October 2023, he founded LCA Ltd, an independent sports media consultancy. Through LCA, he has advised private equity firms on acquiring sports tech assets, advised the Bundesliga on its digital strategy, and guided an ownership group exploring investment in sport. LCA also partners with AgenticScale.ai to bring custom agentic AI systems to sports and media businesses.

In December 2024, he launched This Sporting Planet, built from the ground up after he wrote the strategy and secured seed funding. Within a year, it reached 25 million content views, 275,000 YouTube subscribers and over 70,000 podcast downloads, and it now runs as a live laboratory for the AI tools reshaping production economics.

Alongside LCA and This Sporting Planet, Sam sits on the Advisory Board at Speechlab and the board of Squash Wales, where he leads on commercial strategy. He believes sport's stories belong to everyone and brings 35 years of experience across broadcast, rights, technology, and the creator economy to help businesses tell them better and reach more people.
